Tomas is a Litigation Executive in our Litigation & Dispute Resolution Team, he specialises in contentious probate, advising clients on challenges to wills and claims against estates. Tomas is driven by being able to help people through what can be the most challenging and upsetting time in their lives.
His work covers a range of areas including will validity disputes (such as lack of testamentary capacity, undue influence and lack of want or knowledge or approval), claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family & Dependants) Act 1975; cohabitee disputes and claims under ToLATA 1996, proprietary estoppel claims, disputes between executors / trustees and beneficiaries.
Tomas also has experience with core property disputes, such as residential landlord and tenant disputes and neighbour disputes.
Tomas has worked in the legal sector since 2017, initially working in non-contentious private client work, before moving in to dispute resolution in 2019, with a particular focus on contentious trusts and probate work. Tomas joined Leathes Prior in January 2025 and is currently an Associate member of CILEx, working towards his Level 6 Diploma with the aspiration to become a qualified Chartered Legal Executive.
Outside of work, Tomas is currently training for the Brighton Marathon in April 2025 (proving a challenge having not run property since Lockdown!) When not being active, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, long walks with his dog and travelling to new places.
