Leathes Prior supports NNAB as their chosen charity of the year
Leathes Prior is delighted to announce the decision to support The Norfolk and Norwich Association for the Blind (NNAB) as the firm’s chosen charity of the year throughout 2016. NNAB is based on Magpie Road in Norwich and cares for visually impaired and blind people in Norfolk and Norwich, whatever their age and living circumstances.
The charity provides accommodation and care, community visiting services and educational and recreational facilities. NNAB’s Patron is in fact Her Majesty The Queen. Having spent some time with the NNAB team at their offices and facilities, the firm realised what an excellent cause the charity is and will be aiming to raise money for, and raise awareness of, the charity throughout 2016. With Leathes Prior reaching 140 years this year as one of the oldest law firms in Norwich and NNAB reaching 210 years last year as one of the oldest charities in Norfolk, the two organisations feel that the partnership is a good fit and hope to be able to engage the local community in their upcoming charitable ventures.
Leathes Prior aims to be as actively involved in supporting the charity as possible, providing their lawyers with the opportunity to give up their time during the working day to volunteer. Business Development and Marketing Manager Charlotte Disney said “Before visiting NNAB, I didn’t have any idea about the level of support the charity is providing, and has been providing for over 210 years, right in the centre of Norwich. I had the chance to meet some of the remarkable people that will be benefiting from our support which really inspired me. We’re really looking forward to fundraising for this charity, getting our staff involved and doing as much as we can to raise awareness.”
