We are pleased to announce that Richard Guthrie and Nina Ryan of Leathes Prior’s Corporate & Commercial Team have acted for Mervyn Douglas and the other shareholders of the Daro Group of UK manufacturing companies on their sale to Intellego Technologies AB for a deal value of up to £10m.

Intellego Technologies AB is a Swedish technology company listed on the NASDAQ First North Growth Market which manufactures ultraviolet indicators, developed from its patented photochromic ink, for use in a variety of industries including disinfection, sun protection and manufacturing.

Daro Group is based in Sudbury and manufactures a range of specialist products including ultraviolet systems for water disinfection, air and surface solutions for infection prevention and control, and lighting for the custodial market.

Leathes Prior has worked closely with Daro, Mervyn and his team for a number of years.  Following successful completion of the initial acquisition of Daro between 2016 and 2019, we were delighted to assist Mervyn and the shareholders with the next stage of their journey in negotiating a successful sale of the group to Intellego. There are some great synergies between Intellego and the Daro Group and we look forward to helping Daro go from strength to strength in the future.
